I live and breathe interior design and nothing gives me more satisfaction than seeing a design come together and my clients being over the moon with their finished space. I love creating spaces which not only look beautiful but which work practically around my clients' lives.

As a creative at heart, and having grown up with parents who took on various renovations throughout my childhood, I've always had an appreciation for beautiful interiors. But it was when my husband, Matt and I moved into our first home that I really realised my passion for designing interiors. I started to realise how my surroundings impacted my mood and what a difference a well-thought-out space makes.

Our first home was small, so we spent a lot of time thinking about creating clever ways to create more space and to make our home a more enjoyable place to be. This became even more important when we welcomed our first little boy. I realised it's about thinking outside the box, doing what works best for you as a family and thinking through problems to work out the best way forward. There's nothing that can't be solved with some clear-headed thinking.

I decided to train with the National Design Academy and gained a Diploma in Interior Design. It was during my course, and as our little family grew to welcome our second little boy, that I realised just how important it was to create a home which worked around family life. For me, the beauty of a design, coupled with good functionality is when the stars align.

I also have a degree in Psychology which has given me a good grounding in wellbeing. I've always been hugely interested in people and what makes us happy and use this to my advantage when designing feel-good interiors.

I believe that a home should spark joy and tell a story of who lives there. I go by the well known William Morris rule of wanting everything in my own home to be either beautiful or useful and apply this to my designs too.

My previous interior business, Bamboo Interior Design, which specialised in bespoke, remote interior design prided itself on offering affordable interior design for people who love their homes and who want to work to a reasonable budget. I am still passionate about wanting interior design to be accessible and still offer these remote services if you're based a little further afield.
